Christians Come Together for Texas Refugees

Baptist and Catholics working on the same project? In fact the broad Christian community in McAllen have rallied together to provide the immediate needs for thousands of central Americans who have come into their midst. Several of the local groups have banded together to form a special website. It is set up to help coordinate volunteers and donations: The South Texas Refugees Response

What would you do to save your child’s life? The growing mass of lone children and even young families in the Texas Rio Grande Valley indicates how desperate the situation is in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. US media seems to consider these refugees a political issue or an inconvenient distraction. These are real and hurting people.

Chick-fil-A More Than Food During Snow Storm

Birmingham, Ala. was covered in unexpectedly deep snow yesterday [January 30, 2014]. It turned into an emergency situation as all travel in the city slid to a halt.

Teen Fell 3,000 Feet and Lived

Makenzie Wethington, a Joshua,Texas 16 year old girl had a problem after jumping out of an airplane when skydiving near Chickasha, Oklahoma — her parachute did not open properly. She fell 3,000 feet and LIVED!
